On January, 23, our country is celebrating a big birthday and due to this the year of jubilee „300 years Principality of Liechtenstein“ will be solemnly commenced in 2019.
A joint march of inhabitants from all 11 communities of the country with the aim to meet at the „Scheidgraben“ will become the symbol for the union of the earldom Vaduz and the dominion Schellenberg in the year 1719.
At the same time, this action will be the starting bell for all experience formats that will follow throughout the year and will find their continuation in 2020.
Equipped with light elements in the State colors, this march will become the lasting symbol of becoming one state.
The participants of the march with the title «a country is formed» will be over and over again passing sites that in the past, present and future of Liechtenstein have played an important role, play an important role or will play an important role.
In parallel, international invited guests will attend a ceremony in the SAL in Schaan.
A lookback on the success story of the country, delivered by public officials and accompanied by salutes of Liechtensteiners living abroad as well as foreign representatives create a solemn framework for this occasion.
The events will be transmitted in the Liechtenstein TV and will be live streamed so the birthday celebration can be accessed and perceptible by everybody.
The parallel action streams oft he marcht o the Scheidgraben and the ceremony in the SAL are during the whole evening related and thematically connected.
The early start of the march in the Northern and Southern communities will be displayed per Video at the ceremony. During the evening, life connections with Liechtenstein personalities will be possile and important Liechtenstein, personalities and significant places will be portrayed.
The guests of the ceremony as well as the viewers at home will be witnesses in the „Grande Finale“ how the blue lighing elements from the Unterland (former Dominion Schellenberg) and the red elements from the Oberland (former earldom Vaduz) will melt into a gleaming sea of lights in the colours of the country.
