"Liechtenstein. The Future of the Past. A Dialogue among the Collections" – jubilee exhibition of the Princely Colletions in dialogue with the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts.
The Princely Collections contain master pieces of European art of five centuries of highest quality. Paintings and sculpture from Early Renaissance to Austrian Romantik.
The collection of the Museum of Fine Arts is dedicated to Modern Art, especially Contemporary Art, and is enhanced with pieces of the collection of the Hilti Art Foundation whose master pieces range from Classical Modern Art to Contemporary Art.
In the framework of «300 years Principality of Liechtenstein», the Museum of Fine Arts is dedicating a large exhibition named "Liechtenstein. The Futute of the Past. A Dialogue among the Collections" to this close proximity which will be developed in close cooperation with the Princely Collections.
Starting from certain thematical highlights, selected master pieces of the Collections are entering in a lively dialogue and allow for a special experience:
The conversation betweeen valuable artwork from different centuries about issues that have been of interest of artists and human beings alike at all times.
In this manner, the fruitful relationship between history and present is becoming perceptible and motivates optimism for the future.
